We are currently looking for a School Nurse candidate to work with a school district near Woonsocket, RI. This is a great opportunity for the remainder of the current school year and upcoming school year with a strong level of support on staff. This is a full time position that is one to one with a female high school student.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Rhode Island.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Dedication to promoting a culture of health and wellness within the school community.
Pay & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of $35/hr. or higher based on experience

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health conditions.
- Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns and develop care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and manage immunization records and health screenings to ensure compliance with state and school requirements.
- Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with school personnel, including teachers, administrators, and counselors, to support students' academic success and overall well-being.
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community healthcare providers to coordinate care and resources for students.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation of student health encounters.
